UMBRO CANADA NEWSLETTER
May 2010

The red away shirt, tailored by Umbro, has been constructed in a unique way fusing performance, style, and contemporary tailoring. It is made up of three distinct panels, consisting of different technical fabrics, each one aimed at providing players with the best possible advantage.

Umbro embarked on a special project as they made shirts for the Peruvian club Universitario and have taken the bespoke tailoring idea first seen on the England home shirt and shaped it to fit their own needs and the heritage around the organization.

The Spanish team originally played in all white, but a mishap at the laundry led to them turning cream! The club was outraged but when those same shirts helped the team to some crucial victories cream was adopted as Universitario's colour and they've never looked back.

Currently, the youth of today in Peru have been slowly laying off their traditional garbs for more westernized versions of clothing and the introduction of the new Umbro soccer kit is a step in that direction.
